Carpi will host Chievo on Sunday at the Stadio Alberto Braglia, looking for a desperate victory to get forward in the relegation battle.

The Flying Donkeys, following a negative streak that has seen them losie against Palermo, AC Milan, Napoli and Genoa, and drawing against Sampdoria, are looking forward to coming back with a victory by playing bottom side Carpi this week.

The new boys of Serie A Carpi have struggled so far in the league as they have only managed to secure a surprise win against Torino in early October. The return of coach Fabrizio Castori did not have the desired effect last week as the Biancorossi lost once again against Sassuolo.

The most important news for Carpi is the return of Serie A veteran Marco Borriello, following his two-game suspension. Borriello has scored two goals so far, having played six matches as a starter and starting two more on the bench. The weight of the attack will now be shared among him and winger Ryder Matos. The injury list is full of important players for the Biancorossi, from former Serie B top scorer Jerry Mbakogu to former Catania winger Raphael Martinho.

On the Flying Donkeys side, coach Rolando Maran will possibly lack the energy of midfielder Perparim Hetemaj who will be substituted by Ivan Radovanovic. The attack will see the couple Riccardo Meggiorini-Alberto Paloschi supported by former Milan trequartista Valter Birsa. This front line has been one of the greatest surprises for Serie A, scoring eight goals so far, after Maran has employed them together for 11 matches.
