Fiorentina forward Nikola Kalinic has won the attention of current Premier League champions Chelsea after a scintillating start to his career in Serie A.
The Croatian has netted nine goals for La Viola from inside the penalty area, all from his first touch, proving his lethal instincts are a great asset for Paulo Sousa’s side.
With his heroics lifting Fiorentina to new heights, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 27-year-old has inevitably attracted the interest of the London side as they’ve endured struggles of late from Diego Costa up front, who has just three goals in 11 appearances.
Regardless of the attention from Jose Mourinho’s side, Kalinic has reiterated his love of Florence and his determination to win trophies with La Viola, especially after the player finished second in the Europa League last season with Dnipro.
Club owner Diego Della Valle has also done his part to secure the player’s services with a contract that will last until 2018.
