Antonio Conte ItalyItaly coach Antonio Conte is adamant that his side must start winning more games after their 2-2 draw with Romania in their international friendly.

The Azzurri went a goal behind before leading 2-1 after half-time, only for a late Romanian goal to make the final score a 2-2 draw and, after a fairly positive performance in places for the Italians, Conte is pleased with what he saw but remains angry about the result.

“We deserved to win,” the tactician told Rai Sport.

“It remains a good performance, but there is bitterness over the end result.”

The 46-year-old then talked of the overall picture, though, saying that the loss to Romania, coupled with the defeat to Belgium last week, have to be improved upon without any exceptions.

“We have to win these games, no ifs, no buts,” he said.

“I was already upset about the result we received in Belgium.”

He did find some positives, though, namely useful experience for more important games.

“However, these are the games that make us grow in terms of international experience,” said Conte.
