Lazio striker Filip Djordjevic says the club are focusing on the league at the moment but hinted the Europa League could become their main objective following their qualification on Thursday night.

The Biancocelesti claimed a 3-1 victory over Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk to advance to the knockout round of the competition, after goals from Antonio Candreva, Marco Parolo and Djordjevic stopped a Ukrainian comeback at 1-1.

“It’s a victory that will give us confidence for the league,” Djordjevic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I think we are on the right track.”

Discussing whether the Serie A side are focusing more on the league or the European tournament, the 28-year-old stated their domestic form is priority for Lazio for the moment.

“We are playing well and we are showing our quality,” he said.

“But the league is the main thing because we want to be back in Europe again next year.

“Obviously we don’t now yet who we’re playing in the next round, we’ll see.”
