Yuto Nagatomo InterEspanyol have reportedly entered the race to bring Inter’s Yuto Nagatomo to Spain, joining Levante and Sevilla who are also linked to the defender.

The Nerazzurri are said to be keen to cash in on the Japanese international with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

According to Espiritudeportivo.es, Espanyol may compete with Levante and Sevilla for the 29-year-old’s signature during the upcoming January transfer window.

The news comes after Premier League interest from the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace failed to materialise over the summer.

Nagatomo has struggled for minutes this season having started only three Serie A matches, with his first start coming in late October.

The defender arrived at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in January 2011 from Cesena and has since played more than 150 matches for the Nerazzurri.
