Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero claimed coaches are like wives, ahead of the Blucerchiati’s encounter with former coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Ferrero added that all games are difficult, when asked about Sampdoria’s visit to AC Milan on Saturday night.
“Milan is filled with smog, we want to bring a wave of fresh air,” he commented speaking to Sky Sport Italia.
“All games are hard,” he added, “When I see Mihajlovic I will say hello to him and then may the best win.
“Coaches are like wives: Mihajlovic found another one and abandoned me.”
Sampdoria replaced him with Walter Zenga, who was sacked to make space for Vincenzo Montella.
“I found Montella very focused. He is a lovely person, a great coach and a real motivator,” concluded Ferrero.
Sampdoria are looking to grasp their first win with the new coach on Saturday night at the Stadio Meazza.
