Former Lazio midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron says he would be willing to make a return to the club should they need him.
The Argentine spoke about his time with the Biancocelesti and discussed a possible role on the club’s board in the future.
“I had some great moments with Lazio. It was a privilege to wear that shirt and we won a lot in my two years at the club,” the 40-year-old told laziopress.it
“I had a relationship with Sven-Goran Eriksson off the pitch as well. At that time, every Argentinian wanted to play in Italy because Maradona had done it. Sven and Roberto Mancini helped me a lot.
“The current board have never contacted me. The most joyous thing for me is to keep the great respect between me and the Lazio fans. If one day our lives cross paths again, then I will be there.”
Lazio have had an inconsistent start to the season and currently sit in 10th place after 14 games.
