montolivoThe futures of AC Milan midfielders Nigel De Jong and Riccardo Montolivo are doubtful due to receiving less playing time this season and short contract length.

Dutchman De Jong joined the Rossoneri in 2012 and made 90 appearances for the side overall in his first two seasons with them but has only played four games in the league during the 2015/16 campaign so far.

According to Sportmediaset, it is expected that he will seek more playing time elsewhere after his role in the team appears to have become less important recently, and a move away could come in the January transfer window.

Montolivo, who also joined the club in 2012, meanwhile, has just eight months left on his contract with the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza side and it is doubtful whether he will remain with the squad once it expires in June.

He has played 98 games overall for Milan since signing for them.
