Mandorlini - Hellas VeronaAndrea Mandorlini’s time in charge at Serie A strugglers Hellas Verona looks set to come to an end early this week, as he was absent from training on Monday morning.

The Gialloblu are without a win from their opening 14 Serie A fixtures and sit at the foot of the table, having collected just six points to date.

Sky Sport Italia report that Mandorlini failed to report to the club’s training complex on Monday morning, adding fuel to the flaming rumours that his reign at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi is set to cease.

Having taken charge at Verona in 2010, Mandorlini guided the Mastini to two promotions, taking them back to Serie A from the third tier of Italian football.

In their first season back in the Italian top flight, Verona secured a comfortable mid-table finish.

Defeat against Serie A minnows Frosinone looks to be the final straw for the Verona board, as they now sit eight points behind the Canarini who occupy 17th place in the table.
