Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain was ecstatic after Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Inter on Monday evening that saw the Partenopei climb to the top of the table.
The Argentinian grabbed both goals in the win, but admitted that the Nerazzurri proved a stern test.
“It was a magical evening,” he told Sky Sport Italia after the game against Inter.
“I’m happy for the fans and for the team.
“I think the win was deserved, even if we were not always the best team.
” [Pepe] Reina made an impressive save and we are happy.”
The former Real Madrid striker went on to admit that he feels the Scudetto is within Napoli’s reach.
“It is a legitimate dream to win Serie A,” Higuain added.
“We will take it game by game, but we’re in a good moment now and will try to continue our great form.”
Maurizio Sarri’s side travel to Bologna next weekend looking to maintain their lead at the top of Serie A.
