Jeison Murillo Inter ColombiaInter defender Jeison Murillo has reassured supporters that his recent injury is nothing to be concerned about.

The Colombian centre-back was stretchered off the pitch late in Inter’s 1-0 victory against Torino on Sunday afternoon and there were fears that he would be sidelined for a considerable amount of time

However, in an interview with WimSports ahead of his national side’s World Cup qualifier against Chile, Murillo was quick to quell any apprehensions.

“The truth is that I have nothing that can be classified as an injury, it was only a spasm so I do not think that anyone needs to be concerned for me,” Murillo said.

“Chile are a very strong side, our mentality is to defend well.

“I am here to give my best for the team.”

The former Granada man has been an integral part of an Inter defence that has conceded a league-best seven goals in twelve matches.
