Inter to battle Chelsea and Manchester United for Serbian midfielder

Marko Grujic Inter are set to go head-to-head in a battle with Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United to sign Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic.

The Serie A side are said to be in pole position to complete a move for the Red Star Belgrade talent, despite interest from plenty of Champions League sides, including French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that the player and his representatives have met with Inter in a meeting also attended by former Nerazzurri midfielder Dejan Stankovic.

The 19-year-old featured in Serbia Under-21’s meeting with Luigi Di Biagio’s Italy U-21 side, which ended in a 1-1 draw, before meeting with the Biscione.

Inter have started the 2015-16 campaign well and Roberto Mancini’s side currently sit joint top of the Serie A table with Fiorentina, having collected 27 points from the opening 12 rounds of fixtures.
