Pioli LazioAfter a poor run of Serie A form, Lazio coach Stefano Pioli is eager to see his side turn around their fortunes when they face Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Sunday.

The Biancocelesti have not won a league match since their 3-0 triumph against Torino at the end of October, although Pioli’s side did manage to arrest their worrying run of results after triumphing 3-1 against Dnipro in the Europa League.

“Tomorrow’s game against Empoli? It’s important because we haven’t won in the league this month,” Pioli told his pre-match press conference.

“We need a compact performance, the best possible, against an opponent who will not be easy to overcome.

“We want to play well and we want to win.”

Lazio’s recent form has seen them slump to eighth place in Serie A, whilst Empoli sit 16th just four points above the relegation zone.
