Following his hernia operation in Germany, AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has now returned to training and is hopeful of playing sooner than expected.
The Liverpool loanee was initially ruled out for three months and it was reported that he would not be back before the new year, however Balotelli has now rejoined Rossoneri training sessions, which suggests his recovery is on track for an early comeback.
“Finally waking up is good,” said Balotelli on his personal Instagram account.
“Second day of training. I am on coming back!”
Following his return to Stadio San Siro in the summer, Balotelli has made just four appearances for Milan, scoring his only Serie A goal of the season from a stunning free kick against Udinese.
