Lazio president Claudio Lotito has revealed his disappointment in the team following their 3-1 loss to AC Milan on Sunday and feels they need to change their attitude.

The Biancocelesti have lost three out of their last four Serie A matches, currently leaving them in seventh place with 18 points, and the 58-year-old now wants to see his men show more of a team effort and improve their mentality as they prepare for important upcoming matches with Rosenborg in the Europa League on Thursday and city rivals Roma on Sunday.

Lotito spoke to the Lazio players during their training session at Formello on Monday about his disappointment with some of the club’s recent results and expressed his wishes to see some improvements made immediately.

“Yesterday, you had a shameful attitude,” said the Lazio chief to his men. “I didn’t like what I watched from you one bit.

“The technical quality is there, you all have it. But what you don’t understand is that winning takes a collective effort, rather than an individual one.

“Now, you have to help yourselves and you have to help your team-mates. It doesn’t matter what the name is on the back of the jersey.

“What matters is the crest on the front of it. You have to completely change your attitude, you have to show some balls.

“We have faced weaker teams this season that have earned points by doing that when we haven’t. Now you have to.”
