English Premier League club Manchester City have expressed their interest in Juventus defender Alex Sandro.

The Citizens may find it difficult to lure the Brazilian international to the Etihad Stadium as the reigning Serie A champions are intent on keeping him. Manuel Pellegrini was linked with a move for the 24-year-old earlier in the summer but a move failed to materialise.

According to the Manchester Evening News, City have made an offer in the region of €40 million for the full-back which is set to be rejected by the Bianconeri. The Turin giants consider Sandro as unsellable as they believe he is an integral part of their defence.

Sandro notched up 86 appearances while scoring five goals in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for Porto before making a switch to Italy by joining Juventus for a fee of €26 million in August.
