Mandorlini - Hellas VeronaHellas Verona have sacked coach Andrea Mandorlini following their dismal start to the Serie A season.

The Mastini are yet to win in Serie A this season after 14 matches, with their most recent defeat against fellow strugglers Frosinone proving to be the final straw for the club, as they now sit bottom of the table and eight points from the Canarini in 17th.

“Hellas Verona can confirm the sacking of Andrea Mandorlini and his staff,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“The club would like to thank Andrea for his dedication, unquestionable professionalism and intense passion,” it continued.

“Together we shared joys and sorrows, but we will mostly remember the victories. We will always appreciate that he brought the club back to Serie A and would like to wish Andrea and his staff the best of luck with their future endeavours.”

The Gialloblu were defeated 3-2 away to Frosinone on Sunday, and their next Serie A fixture will see them host Empoli.
