Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk coach Myron Markevych is not surprised with how Lazio played against them on Thursday night.
The two sides met in the Europa League with the final result being a 3-1 win for the Biancocelesti, which is partly down to Evgen Shakhov being injured for Dnipro, according to Markevych.
“We wanted to win but we have to be realistic,” he told the press after the match.
“The truth is that we have lost many important players.”
The three points for Lazio means they have qualified for the knockout stages of the competition, which Markevych thinks is not surprising due to their quality.
“I didn’t see anything new, we knew their quality,” he said.
Dnipro, last year’s finalists, meanwhile, are now out of the tournament after losing.
The final round of fixtures takes place in two weeks time, and sees the Serie A side travel to Saint-Etienne.
