MIhajlovic - Ac MilanAC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will accept nothing less than an overwhelming win in his side’s upcoming Coppa Italia clash against Crotone on Tuesday evening.

The Rossoneri come into the game off the back of a huge 4-1 victory at home to Sampdoria and Mihajlovic expects his team to demonstrate an equal amount of authority when they take on the Serie B side.

“I’d like to see the same attitude that was seen on Saturday against Sampdoria,” Mihajlovic told the assembled media at his pre-match press conference.

“Crotone are a strong opponent in every respect and they will have faith because they are near the top in Serie B, they have good players and are very organised.”

Mihajlovic then conceded it would be a disaster if his side were to fail to win as he hopes to progress far in the competition.

“If we were to lose then it would be a catastrophe,” he continued. “The Coppa Italia is our main aim because we’re not playing in Europe.

“These games are important to find the right incentives. The players have to understand that this is an important game.

“If we play as we normally do then we’ll win.”

Concluding, Mihajlovic hinted towards rotating his squad in order to asses some of the younger players.

“Tomorrow will be a competitive training session, all those who will play need to prove themselves,” Mihajlovic said.

“Obviously there will be some changes [to the line-up], but whoever is on the field will have to convince me that they deserve to wear the shirt.”
