Jonathan De Guzman NapoliJonathan De Guzman looks set to leave Napoli in the January transfer window, with the player currently unhappy with his role at the club.

The Dutch midfielder has yet to feature in Serie A since coach Maurizio Sarri’s takeover this summer, with the likes of Allan and Jorginho being preferred in the Italian’s starting XI.

“We are working hard towards [the transfer window in] January,” De Guzman’s agent, Fabio Parisi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“De Guzman has understood that it is useless to stay [at Napoli] and he’s looking for a team that will accommodate him.”

The former Swansea man was on the brink of a return to the English Premier League this summer before a deal fell through, yet Parisi has hinted at a second shot this time round.

“The Premier League has a lot of money and several of the teams fighting to avoid relegation could well try to land him.”

Sunderland and Bournemouth are just two of the sides reported to hold interest, the later of which failed to complete a deal with the 27-year-old in the previous window.
