Torino 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon to reclaim top spot in Serie A.
In a tightly contested and even match, Geoffrey Kondogbia’s first-half opener was enough to secure Inter their seventh 1-0 win of the campaign.

Torino
Daniele Padelli – 5 – Unfortunate
Couldn’t have done anything for the Nerazzurri’s first goal and was largely untroubled throughout the afternoon.
Emiliano Moretti – 4.5 – Unsteady
Unconvincing performance from the defender, never looked assured in his play and struggled to distribute his passes properly.
Kamil Glik – 5 – Frustrating
The Granata’s Polish captain at times seems a great defender who could arguably play at a higher level, he performed his defensive duties well, but he takes too many risks with his passing that often leads to his side conceding possession.
Gaston Silva – 5 – Quiet
The defender had a relatively quiet afternoon, but stuck to his task well and continued to persevere in shutting the Nerazzurri down.
Cristian Molinaro – 6 – Perservered
Did not have many opportunities on the ball and when he did he was frustrated through a lack of options, however he continued to work hard and try his best for Torino. At times he could have done better to spot the forward movement of the likes of Quagliarella and get the ball played quicker.
Daniele Baselli – 5– Lacking
There were many times that he had found himself in good positions to progress the home side’s play, but his decision-making as well as his execution was badly lacking.
Giuseppe Vives – 7 – Impressive
Inter’s strength in midfield has arguably been the foundation of their Scudetto challenge this season, but Vives put in an assured display in the midfield battle against Gary Medel and demonstrated great strength and composure throughout the game.
Marco Benassi – 6– Creative
Desperately unlucky to see his shot smack Handanovic’s crossbar just minutes before Inter eventually took the lead. Did very well going forward and showed great patience and creativity.
Bruno Peres – 5 – Decent
He worked very hard, but it was difficult for him to progress attacks. He demonstrated great pace and a willingness to take on opponents, but was ultimately unable to influence proceedings.
Andrea Belotti – 5 – Average
Youngster rarely featured for the hosts and was restricted to limited opportunities, had a golden chance in the second-half but couldn’t react quick enough to beat Handanovic to the ball.
Fabio Quagliarella – 5.5 – Frustrated
The veteran tried to make good runs and showed some nice deft touches, but ultimately he was starved of support and was at times playing too far apart from strike partner Belotti.
Substitutes
Maxi Lopez – 5 – Average
Didn’t bring about the added cutting edge that Torino needed to unlock Inter’s resolute defence.
Davide Zappacosta – N/A
Amauri – N/A
Inter
Samir Handanovic – 7– Excellent
Phenomenal double save early in the second half to deny the Granata. Match-winning stops.
Jeison Murillo – 5 – Decent
Decent performance from the defender who read the game well.
Miranda – 6 – Solid
The defender was solid in dealing with the Granata’s attacking threats and demonstrated good composure.
Juan Jesus – 5 – Aggressive
The Brazilian read the game well and was strong in his tackles for the Nerazzurri, coped well playing as a defensive three.
Danilo D’Ambrosio – 4.5 – Sloppy
Struggled throughout the afternoon and was at times very careless in possession.
Felipe Melo – 4– Poor
The summer signing struggled in the midfield battle and was mostly anonymous both in terms of his defensive play and also in building attacks.
Gary Medel – 6– Good
The Chilean had a decent game in the Inter midfield but more than met his match against the impressive Giuseppe Vives.
Geoffrey Kondogbia – 5 – Decent
Was largely poor for the Nerazzurri until he cropped up with the opening goal which he took very well.
Yuto Nagatomo – 6– Persevering
The Japanese international was tenacious going forward, although he could have improved his delivery into the box. Worked hard defensively too.
Rodrigo Palacio – 5 – Good
Had a fantastic flick on to set-up the Nerazzurri’s opener, but other than that he endured a quiet afternoon and struggled to link-up well enough with Icardi.
Mauro Icardi – 5 – Frustrated
Reinstated to the Nerazzurri first team but endured a frustrating afternoon where he could rarely get involved with the play and often cut an isolated figure.
Substitutes
Ivan Perisic – 5 – Average
Did his job well in trying to nullify Torino’s threat, brought on for Icardi as Mancini looked to close out the match for Inter.
Adem Ljajic – N/A
Andrea Ranocchia – N/A
