Biglia lazioLazio midfielder Lucas Biglia could soon be on his way to Spain as Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a lucrative summer move for the Argentinian.

Biglia was in stellar form last season and impressed many clubs around Europe, with Premier League side Arsenal also previously showing an interest in the former Anderlecht player.

According to Calciomercato.it, Los Blancos want a viable alternative to Luka Modric and have identified Biglia as the ideal player to provide backup for the Croatian. It is believed that Madrid have already decided to bid €30 million for the 29-year-old.

Contact has already been made between the Spanish giants and Biglia, with Real Madrid promising to double Biglia’s €1.4 million salary if he were to move to the Spanish capital next summer.

As a result Aquile sporting director, Igli Tare, has told his scouts to be on the lookout for a replacement for the Argentine.
