Roma coach Rudi Garcia’s rein at the Italian capital may be coming to an abrupt end, as a third straight defeat or elimination from the Champions League could prove to be the Frenchmen’s undoing.
Following a difficult week where the Giallorossi lost their first home match of the season to Atalanta and were also humiliated by Barcelona in the Champions League, Garcia’s performance is now under increased scrutiny, as the former Serie A leaders dropped to fourth in the league, and are now on the brink of elimination from Europe.
According to La Stampa, the French coach still has some time to turn things around, but also claims that another bad result could result in his immediate departure, despite having recently renewed his contract with the club until 2018.
Reports claim that nothing has yet to be set in stone, but that president James Pallotta is considering potential replacements, with Carlo Ancelotti, Walter Mazzarri , Cesare Prandelli, Luciano Spalletti and Antonio Conte all on his list.
