INTER-FROSINONE-DIRETTA-BIABIANY-ICARDIFormer Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi has criticised Roberto Mancini’s choice of tactics, labelling Inter as a boring team.

The Nerazzurri have come under heavy criticism so far this season for their defensive style of play despite sitting top of Serie A, two points clear of their closest rivals. In addition, Roberto Mancini’s side have bizarrely won several games by a 1-0 scoreline this campaign, results which Sacchi believes would not be appreciated in any other leagues.

“Inter play old fashioned football which has been revisited by a person with clear ideas,” Sacchi told journalists at a conference in Milan, clearly taking aim at Mancini.

“In other countries their brand of football would be conceived as bad and it wouldn’t be accepted.

“However, no one in Italy cares because winning is all that matters.”

Sacchi doesn’t just believe Inter are the only ones playing ‘dull football’ and instead insists that it’s common within the peninsula.

“In many countries football is a entertaining sport,” Sacchi continued.

“In Italy it’s not, because the teams don’t play too look good nor do they play by the rules.”
