Francesco Totti - RomaFrancesco Totti has dispelled rumours of his impending retirement, announcing he has no intention of hanging up his boots in the foreseeable future.

The Roma captain has seen his playing time drastically reduced this year due to an unfortunate injury, leading many to question whether the Eternal city veteran could call it a day come the end of the season.

“I haven’t even thought about retirement yet as I’m enjoying my football,” Totti said, whilst appearing on the Maurizio Costanzo Show.

“I feel fine physically. Growing older is normal and I’m almost coming to an end, but as long as my body holds up, I will continue.”

The 39-year-old was also adamant that he will continue playing for at least another two or three years before he will settle down with his family.

“It’s still another two to three years until I even think about retiring,” he concluded. “I am a lucky guy with a family and children.

“Nothing is missing from my life at the moment and I am in a good place.”
