Udinese coach Stefano Colantuono was satisfied with the way his team played in their 1-0 win at home to Sampdoria on Sunday afternoon.
The Zebrette coach also reserved some praise for French striker Cyril Thereau, who created the winning goal for central midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in the first half of the match.
“We played a good game against a very tough opponent in Sampdoria,” Colantuono told RAI Sport..
“We played well because we remained high up the field and we have dealt with the one-on-ones without fear and with the right determination.
Colantuono then singled out Thereau for his impressive performance over the 90 minutes.
“Thereau had a good game, especially compared to the latest games,” Colantuono added.
“He’s a really important player for us and we are glad he has rediscovered his form.”
Udinese are now equal 14th with Palermo and Empoli on the Serie A table with 15 points after 13 rounds.
