bovoTorino coach Giampiero Ventura is pleased with the unity his team showed as they picked up a victory against Atalanta on Sunday afternoon.

The Granata defeated La Dea 1-0 in Serie A after their opponents had previously taken a point away from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against AC Milan.

“We won against a team in good form, especially after their result [against Milan],” Ventura told Rai Sport after the final whistle.

In terms of Torino’s form, their previous three games saw them pick up only one point after losing one of them to a last-minute goal against Juventus and conceding an equaliser, also deep in stoppage time, to Genoa, and Ventura is happy with how the team played as a unit following those results.

“We won after three games that would upset anyone, because we lost two in the 90th minute,” Ventura added.

“We played as a team and everyone understood each other.”

They sit in ninth place in the Serie A table ahead of their next match, which is at home to Bologna on November 28.
