Honda AC MilanWest Ham United are reportedly set to make a January move for AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda.

The Hammers have pursued the 29-year-old for some time now, who is impatient at a lack of playing time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and could be tempted by a move away from the Rossoneri.

These rumours have been confirmed by the Brentwood Gazette, who have stated that the Premier League side are willing to pay at least €7 million for the Japanese International.

The Trequartista has become a primary target for West Ham coach Slaven Bilic following the injury of creative midfielder Dimitri Payet, who has since been ruled out until February due to an ankle injury.

However, they may also face stiff competition from Everton, who are also keen to acquire the services of the Milan outcast.

Since his move from CSKA Moscow, Honda has failed to replicate the good form he shown in Russia, and has scored only seven Serie A goals since his arrival in 2014.
