Bayern Munich are reportedly set to make an official announcement of the employment of Carlo Ancelotti as the replacement of Pep Guardiola for the 2016-2017 season.

The German giants have apparently become impatient with Guardiola’s decision to make an announcement on his future this weekend. The Spaniard has also been heavily linked with English Premier League giants Manchester City and most recently Chelsea now that Jose Mourinho has been dismissed.

According to Sky Sports, the Bavarians are expected to make known of Ancelotti’s appointment between this weekend.

The former AC Milan coach will pen a three-year contract and receive an estimated salary of €15m yearly.

He is a coach who is no stranger to achieving success with some of Europe’s top clubs, with the most recent example coming in the form of Real Madrid’s 10th European cup in 2014.
