Bologna, la prima conferenza stampa di DonadoniBologna coach Roberto Donadoni admits his side may not have deserved their victory over Genoa after late winner.

The Grifone had been the dominant side but Luca Rossettini scored his second goal in two games in the dying minutes.

“It was an average display but it was clear a result today would be a big step forward for us,” Donadoni told Mediaset Premium.

“In the first half, Genoa may have been the more determined but we certainly improved in the second half scoring a late goal.”

Genoa’s Diego Perotti was sent off for an elbow on Amadou Diawara, before the Guinean midfielder saw a second yellow card late on.

“We lacked the same belief shown in recent matches, we knew it would be a hostile environment to play in today,” added Donadoni.

“Genoa perhaps deserved to draw, we are indebted to Antonio Mirante for his saves but we didn’t create enough chances.

“We can certainly develop on our attacking play and do more, it is important we push beyond our targets.”

Bologna move up to 12th in the Serie A table for now with 19 points, but could end the weekend down in 15th.
