Cesena coach Massimo Drago has taken part of the blame for his team’s defeat to Torino in the Coppa Italia.

The Serie B side were defeated 4-1 by the Granata at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night in the cup competition’s fourth round, and it took the home side just three minutes to get ahead.

“The early goal made the game,” Drago told Rai Sport after the game.

“We did not have a good shape.”

The Italian tactician then took some of the blame for the loss, admitting his coaching methods ahead of the match might not have been good enough.

“Every game is important, especially for the players,” he said.

“That has to be understood when the coach trains the team wrong.”

Torino go on to face bitter rivals Juventus in the quarter-final.
