Furious supporters of Roma turned up at the club’s training ground with a delivery of 50 kilograms of carrots in protest at the team’s form this season.
The Giallorossi endured another European night of humiliation as they were thrashed 6-1 by Barcelona, before losing 2-0 to Atalanta to fall behind the Serie A leading pack. In response to the club’s ‘rabbit in the headlights’ performances, Roma fans were lying in wait at the training ground.
“Enjoy your meal rabbits!” said a banner unfurled by the group of protesting supporters.
Roma are currently fourth in the Serie A table, four points behind leaders Napoli, and face a trip to Torino on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the future of coach Rudi Garcia is reportedly in peril, and his fate could be decided if they exit the Champions League prematurely.
