immobileFormer Torino forward Ciro Immobile expressed his desire to play for his hometown club Napoli at some point in his career.

Immobile is currently on loan at Sevilla from Borussia Dortmund as he tries to resurrect his career after a disappointing debut season in the Bundesliga in which he only scored three goals.

“This summer my name was often linked with a move to Napoli, but they did not act,” said Immobile to Radio station Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“In the future, who knows, I do not know if I will play ever for Napoli but for a Neapolitan it would be a dream. Now I have to focus, I have a contract with Sevilla, I’m comfortable in Spain and I am living a great life.

“Maybe one day I can realise my dream.

“At the start it was difficult moving to Spain, but now I’m settling in and yesterday I scored in the Copa del Rey.

“I try to make the most of my opportunities. The goal is to play more and to score as many goals as possible because I want to go to the European Championship with Italy.”

Immobile was also asked about Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, who has been linked with a move to Napoli: “I do not know him that well, but he seems a good player, technically very complete.”
