Allegri - JuventusJuventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes the Scudetto race is still open, although he has reaffirmed his belief that Inter are the favourites.

The Bianconeri are set to face their local rivals Torino in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night and the coach demands his team are at their best for the derby.

“The Scudetto race is still open for all the teams chasing Inter, even though Inter are the favourite as I said,” Allegri told reporters ahead of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia clash with rivals Torino.

“The game against Carpi is another very important game, like the others, because we’re obliged to win.

“There are still a lot of games to go. We’re behind, so we have to chase.”

Allegri, however, has urged his players to remain focused on Wednesday evening’s Derby della Mole: “Juventus haven’t won successive Coppa Italia titles since 1959 and 1960, so I think it would be important to achieve that objective.”

“It’s not easy, because tomorrow we have a derby against a team who it’s not easy to play against.

“They want to win this game, just like us, so we’ll have to be very good.”
