Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano in the January transfer window.

The Old Lady have struggled with injuries this season and are currently lacking midfield cover with both Sami Khedira and Kwadwo Asamoah not available for selection.

According to Tuttosport, to sign Soriano the Bianconeri would have to meet the Italian international’s €12 million release clause.

However, they may also allow defender Daniele Rugani to go on loan to Il Doria in an attempt to sweeten the deal for Sampdoria coach Vincenzo Montella, who is unwilling to lose such a key player halfway through the season.

Soriano has scored three and assisted another three goals in his 14 appearances this season.

In contrast, Rugani has only made one appearance as a substitute for Juventus this season in the Champions League.
