Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi has said that the victory at home against Udinese in the Coppa Italia might be a turning point in the season for the Aquile.

The Zebrette took the lead in the match through a magnificiently acrobatic shot from Panagiotis Kone but two goals in the last twenty minutes from Alessandro Matri and Cataldi himself was enough to see Lazio through to the quarter final, where they will play Juventus.

”It was really important to win because we are struggling at the moment, which is why wanted to be victorious and progress to the next round,” the 21-year-old told Rai Sport after the game.

”I hope it’s the turning point for us because we haven’t been going well due to bad luck as much as our own fault and I hope our season starts here.

Lazio are 12th in the table and will have to travel to league leaders Inter in their next game.
