Leicester City are allegedly plotting a January move for AC Milan’s defensive midfielder Nigel de Jong.
It is reported that Foxes coach Claudio Ranieri is a huge admirer of the former Manchester City man and will attempt to lure him back to the English Premier League after Christmas.
The Sunday People have since confirmed the club’s interest in the player, and have stated that they could acquire his services for a transfer fee of €2.7 million.
They have also stated the Rossoneri will be willing to let the player leave the Stadio San Siro, despite the fact that the 31-year-old only signed a new three-year contract extension in the summer.
De Jong has made only four Serie A appearances so far this season, and is reportedly open to a move back to England in a bid to obtain increased playing time.
