MIhajlovic - Ac MilanAC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has no fear of losing his job despite Milan’s inconsistent form this season, ahead of their game against his former club Sampdoria.

The Rossoneri currently find themselves in seventh place, seven points behind third-placed Napoli who currently sit on 32 points for the season.

If we had got six points against Carpi and Hellas Verona at this point we would be fourth in the table,” said Mihajlovic to reporters before the Sampdoria match.

“The season is long and we are united, we know where we can get to. Since the game against Napoli we have lost just once.

“We have respect for Sampdoria who are a good team, but right now they are going through a tough moment.

“We are not playing in Europe so winning the Coppa Italia is a goal for us. I hope Sampdoria can return to their old selves. But the best team will win. Issues with Berlusconi? I do not comment on these questions.

“I’m very quiet and I do not feel any anxiety about my job.

“We have to about one game at a time and see where we get. I’m not one who looks for alibis or excuses, and it’s the same for the players, we take responsibility for our actions.”

The Milan coach was also asked about the club injury situation, as well as Keisuke Honda’s lack of playing time.

“[Mario] Balotelli will not be fit for the match. [Luca] Antonelli has recovered and he’ll be on the bench,” added Mihajlovic.

“Honda? Ask him what is wrong, not me. He has to put some effort in if he wants to play.”

Finally, the Serbian said that despite being whistled recently, Riccardo Montolivo would still be able to perform.

“I was with him in Florence when he was whistled, so he is used to these situations,” Mihajlovic went on.

“The fans can do what they want, our job is to perform. Those who play for Milan must have the strength to withstand the pressure.”
