Radja Nainggolan RomaRoma midfielder Radja Nainggolan believes the Giallorossi need to be more clinical in attack despite their progression in the Champions League.

The Giallorossi scraped through the group stage with just six points, though failed to finish off numerous opportunities throughout the 0-0 draw with BATE Borisov, something which the Belgian international regrets despite his side’s progression in the tournament.

“Today we created so much but achieved so little,” Nainggolan admitted to Sport Mediaset after the game. “We have to be more clinical.

“We qualified despite the draw, but some games you just have to win.

“However, we have to look at the positives. We created a lot and achieved qualification [to the last 16].

Having been put on the backfoot for the majority of the match, Roma were booed off the pitch their own fans, however, Nainggolan in not fazed by the criticism and instead remains upbeat over the result.

“We don’t care [about the whistles],” he continued. “Obviously the fans expected a win but they should be just as happy as we are to have progressed through the group stages.”
