Reina - NapoliNapoli and former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina got into a spat on Twitter with an Atalanta fan with the Spaniard accusing the home fans of racist chants.

The Partenopei won 3-1 in Bergamo thanks to a brace from Gonzalo Higuain and one home fan was angered by the goalkeeper who he felt was unsportsmanlike in his conduct after he celebrated in front of the Dea fans.

“Unsportsmanlike? You must be joking, first you hear the racist chants and then you tell me to be more sporting,” said Reina on his official Twitter profile.

“My fans, celebrating is 100 per cent a part of football, racist chants have no place in it!”

Reina has made 20 appearances in all competitions since rejoining from Bayern Munich.

Anti-Neapolitan songs were heard during the match a week after Hellas Verona were fined for their supporters’ chants aimed at Napoli during their Coppa Italia fixture.
