Massimo Ferrero SampdoriaSampdoria owner Massimo Ferrero has condemned Erick Thohir’s absence from Inter as the Indonesian Nerazzurri president maintains his residence in his native Indonesia.

Thohir, who is worth an estimated €900 million, also owns MLS side D.C United and Indonesian champions Persib Bandung alongside business interests across Asia, is only sporadically spotted in the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza stands in contrast to the bombastic Blucerchiati boss Ferrero.

“I think [Thohir] should manage their grass, otherwise the horses will eat too much!” quipped Ferrero to Radio Rai.

“A club must be managed locally, not from a distance.”

However Inter fans may well take these comments with a pessimistic view, given Samp’s collapse in form during the 2015/16 season that sees Ferrero’s side sit 14th while the Nerazzurri ride high at the summit of Serie A after 10 victories from their opening 15 games.
