Sarri NapoliNapoli coach Maurizio Sarri gave full credit for the attack minded performance against Roma at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday, but lamented the eventual 0-0 draw.

Marek Hamsik looked destined to fire the Partenopei to victory in the second half but Wojciech Szczesny stopped his lethal strikes, while Omar El Kaddouri failed to hit the target on a potential game-winning rebound before the final whistle.

“We played the match in ways that we had to,” Sarri told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Things were carefully applied, which gave very little to their strikers who are always dangerous. We were attacking for 90 minutes without suffering defensively.

“The team was balanced, even though we were missing something in the penalty area, but we showed up three times to test the goalkeeper and the result seems unfair.”

Sarri then gave his opinions on the competitiveness of the title chase after going undefeated against all of the top five clubs in Serie A at the San Paolo, and he warned that Juventus are still the Scudetto favourites.

“Inter are reaping the fruits of their impressive transfer market selections in recent years,” he argued.

“The favorite remains Juventus, Inter are the main antagonists.”
