1-0 win over Belenenses in the Europa League, though he believes his side still has plenty of room for improvement.

The Viola achieved qualification into the round of 32 despite leaving it late with a second half goal from Khouma Babacar sealing the victory.

“I am satisfied because we got through the group and my squad proved itself to be competitive,” Sousa told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“However, the situation in February will be different and we’ll see what happens.

“We have to continue to grow and learn to make better decisions on the ball. The team has understood this, but we have to keep it up throughout the season.”

Sousa’s men finished second in their group, meaning they could potentially face several sides which have dropped down from the Champions League, and the Portuguese tactician favours a draw against a English side.

“I would really like for us to be drawn against an English team,” he continued.

“There are several that we could be drawn against and it’s always nice to play big teams such as Manchester United.”

Concluding, Sousa then turned his focus towards Fiorentina clash away to rivals Juventus at the weekend.

“We live for these sorts of emotions, so the game with Juve will definitely be exciting,” he concluded.
