Torino coach Giampiero Ventura says the club do not have any domestic cup targets to achieve, instead focusing on the development of the squad.

The Granata hosted Cesena in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday night, claiming a 4-1 victory, and Ventura is happy with the organisation that the team has and the overall management of the club.

“We try to play some organised football,” he told Rai Sport after the match.

“We try to combine the sporting aspect and the economic aspect, and therefore valuing some young people.

“We have made great advances in this respect and it should be a cause of pride for the players.”

When discussing Torino’s targets for this term, the Italian tactician valued the improvement of players over winning trophies.

“At Torino it is almost impossible to talk about targets,” he said.

“We think only of the growth of the team and the exploitation of young people.”
