Mathieu_Debuchy_20120611Serie A sides Juventus and Roma may face stiff competition from West Bromwich Albion in the race to sign Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy.

The French international has struggled to cement a first team place at the Emirates stadium since his 2014 move from Newcastle United and a January departure is now looking increasingly likely.

Tuttomercatoweb.com have confirmed the English side’s interest in the 30-year-old, stating that the trio of clubs will compete for his signature during the forthcoming transfer window.

The player has recently been replaced by Hector Bellerin at full-back for the Gunners, and he has already revealed his frustration after starting only two matches so far during this campaign.

“At the moment I need game time,” said Debuchy to RMC. “I really need more playing time so I will speak to coach [Arsene] Wenger very soon.

“We agreed that we would talk in December if I was still unhappy with my lack of playing time and now that is the case. We will have to see what happens.”
