luiz adriano ac milanAC Milan striker Luiz Adriano has denied that the reason he accepted a proposed move to Jiangsu Suning, was because he wanted a fatter paycheck.

The Brazilian was set to move to China, however negotiations between Jiangsu and Adriano broke down due to the Chinese club refusing to honour certain agreements stipulated in Adriano’s contract.

“It’s not true what you’re saying, I have not asked for more money to move to China!” said Adriano to Calciomercato.it.

“In fact my wages weren’t guaranteed; they did not want to pay the amount they said they would have paid and I don’t work that way so that’s what blew my move to Jiangsu Suning.”

This season Adriano has struggled for consistent first-team football with nine of his 18 league appearances coming as a substitute.
