Candreva - Lazio v Hellas VeronaLazio came from 2-0 down to salvage a point against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Emanuele Giaccherini edged the hosts in front inside a minute before Mattia Destro doubled the Rossoblu’s advantage. Lazio, however, were gifted a route back into the game when Antonio Candreva netted from the spot. Miroslav Klose then set up fellow substitute Senad Lulic to rescue a point for the Biancocelesti.

Only ninety seconds had gone before Bologna took the lead. Emanuele Giaccherini whipped a lovely free-kick round the wall and into the top corner.

The visitors established dominance thereafter but fell 2-0 behind on 17 minutes. Stefan Radu’s scuffed clearance trickled through to Mattia Destro who dispatched his effort beyond Etrit Berisha.

Mauricio then had to be at his best to foil Matteo Brighi from close-range.

The home side almost punished Lazio for their complacency again on 32 minutes, but Brighi could not convert Anthony Mounier’s driven cross.

Stefano Pioli’s side went close after the break when Daniele Gastaldello failed to clear a hopeful diagonal pass from Wesley Hoedt and the ball ricocheted off the post.

Keita Balde interchanged beautifully with Senad Lulic on the hour mark but dragged his ensuing effort wide of the mark.

Lazio were granted hope on 69 minutes when the referee pointed to the spot after Adam Masina upended Miroslav Klose from behind. The left-back was dismissed for the foul before Antonio Candreva dispatched the subsequent spot-kick.

The Aquile’s numerical advantage soon paid dividends when Klose surged down the right and pulled the ball back for Lulic to stroke his effort beyond Antonio Mirante, with just over 10 minutes to go.

Both sides pushed forward for the win but neither outfit went close to score a decisive fifth goal in the match.

The result leaves Lazio a point adrift of AC Milan, having played a game more while Bologna move two points clear of 17th placed Palermo.
