DybalaJuventus began 2016 in good fashion as they defeated Hellas Verona 3-0 on Wednesday and striker Paulo Dybala has praised his teammates for the way in which they achieved their task.

After once again getting himself on the score-sheet, the Argentine rejected claims that he is one of the most important players in the squad, stating that there are many people with more influential experience than him within their dressing room.

“Today it was important to win and start the year well,” said Dybala to Sky Sport Italia. “We have achieved the victory and I am very happy.

“In this squad there are lots of leaders that are more important than me.”

The Argentina international also admitted that it would be great to have his compatriot Lionel Messi join him in Turin, and that a fresh challenge may be the best thing for the Barcelona striker’s career.

“As for convincing Messi to come to Juventus, it would be beautiful to have him with us,” Dybala added. “He has always played in Spain and it would be good to see him perform in another championship.”
