The funds generated by the Nerazzurri’s sale of Fredy Guarin to Shanghai Shenhua allowed the Serie A side to beat Leicester City to the player after his agents had visited the East Midlands club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Eder will sign a contract that will keep him at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza until 2020 which will see him earn €1.5 million per year.

Inter will pay €1.5m for the initial loan before spending €10.5m in instalments over four years to make the switch permanent.

Napoli also expressed an interest in the 29-year-old forward but Eder would prefer to join Inter once all the details are ironed out between the Nerazzurri and Sampdoria.

Eder has been at Samp since 2012 and he scored an impressive 12 goals from 19 appearances so far during the 2015-16 season.

Andrea Ranocchia is poised to move the other way and has his medical scheduled ahead of a loan move set to expire on June 30.
