Juventus InterInter coach Roberto Mancini believes the scoreline in his side’s defeat to Juventus in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final was harsh.

The Nerazzurri were on the wrong side of a 3-0 drubbing by the reigning champions, but Mancini maintains that the match was more balanced than the score would suggest.

“It was a balanced match until the penalty was awarded which then changed everything,” Mancini told Rai Sport.

“Juventus deserved to win but the 3-0 scoreline is a little bit harsh.

“I don’t remember Handanovic having to make any saves.”

Once again Inter struggled to create and could not convert the chances that did fall to them.

“We have to be more effective in front of goal but we played the match in the way that we had prepared for during the week,” Mancini added.

“We are going through the most important stage of the season so we must fight back.”

The Nerazzurri must attempt to overturn the heavy deficit without the services of their starting centre-back partnership as Murillo and Miranda who face suspensions for the second leg.

“Unfortunately it will be very difficult but I will think of something.” Mancini asserted.

Mancini briefly addressed the rumours linking the club with Sampdoria striker Eder.

“I do not know what the current situation is but he would certainly add something to our squad,” Mancini concluded.
